• dot429.com Launches New Resource for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Professionals and Their Allies

San Francisco (April 26, 2010) – dot429, a powerful networking community for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender professionals and their allies (LGBTA), launched nationally today with the introduction of dot429.com. Already well-known in New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles for its professional mixers, dot429.com goes live today, and boasts the world’s largest network of LGBTA professionals in the world.

Our vision has always been to create a better way for LGBTA professionals to connect with each other – both online and off,” says CEO Richard Klein. “dot429.com ushers in the next logical step of professional networking, and gives us the opportunity to provide advertisers with direct access to successful LGBTA professionals.”

The site’s launch fills a void in the LGBTA space for advertisers who are looking to reach successful men and women on a national scale. dot429.com creates an elegant, online community featuring member profiles, articles written by industry leaders, listings of exclusive networking events, access to mentoring opportunities, and other interesting ways for LGBTA professionals to connect.

We want dot429 to be both a powerful place for professionals to connect, as well as an interesting place that stimulates the mind and creates conversation,” explains Chief Creative Officer Sabrina Riddle. With the launch of the dot429.com, members can now go online to access a network of structured mentorships, spark a creative exchange of ideas, offer professional support to one another, and expand their existing circles.

The site will be free and open to all members and supporters of the LGBTA community. Regular membership will include access to articles, mentoring support, and invites to mixers and parties. In addition, premium memberships will allow greater access to online tools, priority entry to events, and additional benefits for a quarterly fee.

We started with 500 founding members who are recognized leaders in every field of business, design, health, law, politics, entertainment, and leisure,” says Klein. “We expect to have 1,000 founding members by year’s end, and we’ve already had over 33,000 inquiries about regular membership. The response has been amazing, and it just proves that our community has been waiting for something like this for a very, very long time.”
