To be fulfilled in both professionally and personally is the dream for each and every one of us. For advertising luminary, Aaron Walton, that fulfillment has been more than realized, and to a level that he’s supremely grateful for.
Aaron Walton, co-founder of Walton | Isaacson, a full-service brand-building firm, with offices in Beverly Hills, Chicago and Tokyo, has built a world-class Agency to help Fortune 500 Brands build an authentic relationship with consumers. Walton, along with his business partner Cory Isaacson, formed Walton | Isaacson with the mission of becoming the “planet’s most interesting agency.” Walton’s expertise in using entertainment and pop-culture to achieve traditional corporate marketing objectives has quickly established W|I beyond just “interesting,” as they’ve landed accounts as diverse as Whirlpool, Unilever’s Axe & Dove brands, Lexus and Magic Johnson Entertainment.
With over 20 years experience, Walton has created some of the most successful, high-profile partnerships in the industry, including Pepsi & Michael Jackson, Pepsi & Britney Spears, Whirlpool & Reba McIntire, AT&T & Whitney Houston, Cadillac & Led Zeppelin, Busta Rhymes & Mt. Dew and Doritos & Enrique Iglesias. Walton developed Budweiser’s “True Music” platform, which included over 30 music acts across all genres featured in radio and television advertising to support the brand.
Walton began his career as a marketing executive with the Pepsi-Cola Company. He joined Pepsi-Cola as a Marketing Analyst at the company’s headquarters in Purchase, NY before being quickly promoted to brand management for Pepsi and Mt. Dew. Walton’s passionate interest in the entertainment field proved invaluable to a company that was making competitive gains through its identification with popular music.
Following his tenure at Pepsi, Walton formed Aaron Walton Entertainment (AWE), and worked with some of the largest consumer brands in the world including AT&T, Pepsi-Cola, The Gap, General Motors, Chrysler, Frito-Lay, Pizza Hut, AT&T, Banana Republic, KFC, Taco Bell, Polaroid and Levi Strauss. Walton later sold the Agency to Omnicom.
Walton will be the first to tell you that his success professionally has been fostered by the love and support of his partner of 21 years, Andrew Logan. Logan, like Walton, has also had an incredible career as an accomplished director, songwriter, performer and music producer who most recently directed Fall Out Boy’s “Young Wild Things” Tour. Walton and Logan were married in August 2005 by Walton’s mother Rev. Patricia Walton, a UCC Minister, at the Park Hyatt in Century City – making them the first gay couple ever married at the hotel.
Born in 1961, Walton grew up in Massachusetts and attended Babson College in Wellesley, MA. In 1983, he received a Bachelor of Science Degree with a double major in Management/Organizational Behavior and Communications. As one of two African-American students in his class, Walton was elected student body president in 1982, and now serves as a Trustee at the college.
