The National LGBT Bar Association Announces BMW of North America as a Top Sponsor of the 2012 Lavender Law® Conference and Career Fair

The National LGBT Bar Association is proud to announce that BMW of North America, LLC will be one of the top sponsors for the 2012 Lavender Law® Conference and Career Fair. BMW is the global leader in luxury performance vehicles, known for its innovative engineering and design.

The LGBT Bar thanks BMW for its commitment to promoting and supporting communities wherever it is active and for its belief that social and cultural awareness and involvement is integral to business success,” said Jeffrey Schimelfenig, president of the National LGBT Bar Association.

We are very excited to be working with BMW this year,” said D’Arcy Kemnitz, executive director of the LGBT Bar. “Their commitment to social responsibility has created a lasting impact on communities that would otherwise be unable to help themselves.”

BMW of North America is the first automotive sponsor in the history of the Lavender Law Conference & Career Fair. The LGBT Bar is honored to be working with an organization that is an industry-leader not only in engineering and design, but in social commitment as well.

The Lavender Law Conference and Career Fair is an annual conference that brings together the best and brightest minds in the legal community. This year, Lavender Law will be held in Washington, D.C. August 23-25. The career fair, held on the first day of the three-day conference, draws over 500 students and features 130 recruiters. The conference provides a space for legal professionals to network and share ideas and practices for an LGBT supportive and inclusive legal community.

The National LGBT Bar Association is a national association of lawyers, judges and other legal professionals, law students, activists and affiliated LGBT legal organizations. The Association promotes justice in and through the legal profession for the LGBT community in all its diversity.
