January 5, 2009:  Xycommunity.com, a new online social networking site for the LGBT and LGBT-friendly communities, will kick off its launch through a sponsorship of the Queer Lounge, the LGBT hub for queer and queer-friendly festival-goers and a program of GLAAD, the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, during the Sundance and Slamdance film festivals in Park City, Utah.
 
The Queer Lounge is located at 608 Main Street, Park City, UT and will be free and open to the public from 11am to 7pm January 15-21, 2009.  The Queer Lounge will offer a hospitality suite, panel discussions, professional mixers and nightly parties. The Lounge will also provide free access to six computers with wi fi capabilities where people will be able to visit xycommunity.com, register as a member on the site for free and download an informational brochure that thoroughly explains what xycommunity.com is about including the meaning behind its tagline: “Stand Up Be Proud! Bringing together one voice in one worldwide forum to create a powerful online social network”.  The xycommunity.com logo featured in this release (and can also be viewed at http://www.xycommunity.com ) will also serve to represent this new online social network in print and electronic media.
 
Xycommunity.com is owned by Pomles Ltd. based in Manchester, UK and its aim is to bring together the worldwide LGBT community in one forum and include businesses and organizations who wish to promote their products and services to the community
 
Legan Promotions Inc. ( http://www.LeganPromotions.net ) has been selected as the promotions agency for xycommunity.com in the United States and will be promoting the site at gay pride festivals and film festivals in major cities during 2009.
